Secondo Figlio Vineyard

The Secondo Figlio Vineyard is a 7.7 acre vineyard perched over Highway 138 and located just outside the town of Elkton. The vineyard consists of 4.3 acres of Pinot Noir, 2.4 acres of Pinot Gris, and 1 acre of Baco Noir.

The vineyard is dry farmed, herbicide free, and actively tries to increase soil biodiversity and health through practices such as cover cropping, application of compost, and grazing of sheep after harvest and before bud break. The vineyard’s windygap silt loam soil, in combination with the daily marine influences from the nearby Pacific Ocean, results in consistent vine growth and balanced ripening.

The grapes from the vineyard are noted by winemakers to produce a high-quality wine that features a good balance of flavor, aroma, color, acidity, and alcohol.

Grape Varieties: Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris, Baco Noir
