Wild Azalea Vineyard

At Wild Azalea Vineyard stewardship of the land is at the heart of this family-run vineyard, where sustainable dry farming meets hand-cultivated care. After careers as an industrial hygienist & an archaeologist, two scientists returned home to Elkton to begin a new chapter—growing Wadenswil, a Swiss Pinot Noir grape known for thriving in Oregon’s cool coastal climate. Nestled on the ancient benchlands of the Umpqua River, this planted in 2000 the vineyard reflects a deep respect for the land and its history. Now raising the fifth generation of Oregonians, this family brings together science, tradition, and a love for the land—growing not just grapes, but a legacy.
